I feel it is important for children to have some kind of routine to their day, it helps them know what happens next. Our routine is loosely structured and worked around nursery/school drop offs/pick ups.
---------------------
8-9am: Children begin to arrive.
Breakfast for those who eat here.
Freeplay whilst we get organised for nursery/school runs.
9am onwards: I tend to head out for the morning to meet up with other minders/children for play dates and social interaction.
10am: Morning snack
12noon: We head home for lunch or have a picnic lunch if we are out & about somewhere.
Naptime for any who require a nap, quiet time for older children.
3.30pm: afternoon snack.
Freeplay or an outing.

** Outings/activities: this time includes things like Toddler Group sessions, structured activities (baking, playdoh, drawing, crafts, sand/water play, etc, etc), trips to softplay or the park, walks, etc.
I may also have various school and nursery drop offs & pick ups during the day.
